Do you know what LIBB is? Of course you don't, I'm the one who knows about it *BIG LIE*

Hehe, it's actually an abbreviation of Latihan Intensif Brass Band

The intensive training was held for 10 days in the main campus alongside with 2 other campuses: Machang and Perlis. Basically, this is a camp to transform a 'zero-knowledge-in-music' student into an 'able-to-play-the-memorized-notes' student. There you go, that's the main objective. Thank God there are some of the clarinetist who are from school bands and therefore I was not bored-to-death playing the notes which are played in the drum competition in Perak. But I have to say that I was 'challenged' by some of the songs that they had. For example, 'Negaraku'. Although it's only for a few bars, that song managed to *almost* kill me because of excessive inhalation of air to the point which my lung could burst. Ohhh I miss that feeling. I had those when I was in the school orchestra. Haha. Ade ke patut bagi note 'G' yg sixth octave tu? SIXTH OCTAVE OKAY. Pastu lagu 'Berpacaran' pon ade lagi tinggi! Note 'A'! SIXTH OCTAVE JUGAK.

Sayang sangat ngan SIXTH OCTAVE TU. haha.

Well, overall, the whole program was okay. I got plenty of rest and a few 'sakit hati's *alahhhh biase je tu*

But it is a good way to kill some of the 4-month-holiday that we are having right now. But, I still have to highlight the drawback of this camp. Well, I wouldn't call it just an intensive training, but it's more towards intensive memorization training. For example, the clarinet players. In the end, they couldn't even read a single note. they just memorized it. They don't even know the value of each note, and some of them don't even know how to have a steady tempo, in other words, they don't LISTEN well. Well, I can't really blame anyone, since the main objective is to make the students perform songs on the last day. But what happens after the camp? Would all of them join the training? Would there be someone to correct them? *except for shah alam, since there's a lot of capable seniors ready to help* Would they feel demotivated to play, when they are given new songs which they can't read, play, or even identify what is what and which is which? I've seen the demotivated behavior in the band, I've seen people who give up because of all the notes and such

Just a point to ponder. Peace no war

But the good thing is, they are able to play songs. It's just that I'm worried about the future. My suggestion is that, before the camp, students need to be taught about the basic knowledge of music. At least they know how to read and this thing cannot be done lekeh camtu je. Orang yg mengajar music tu kene strict in ensuring the students that they REALLY KNOW HOW TO READ. All that's left is just practice. I hope banders from all campuses are able to improve more and more and expand their knowledge and passion in music

Uh-oh! Hello there!

Have you been missing me?

I had a really LONGGG hiatus and decided to come back with a new layout, nice??

I am a DOMO-natic, and that won't change forever!

Phew, I have lots to tell, but I'll start with the recent update, while it is still hot, no?

In April, my lovely brother and my fantastic mom has driven my car all the way from Kedah to Shah Alam, so that I could use it to INTEC. Talking about cars, I am a bloody novice. I dunno anything about cars, I just know how to drive them. And it's only for auto cars and my driving skills sucks. Having your own car only adds another wrinkle line to your face, because you just need to be bothered with a lot of things; fuel, carwash, battery, tyres, tolls etc. I had a few 'pleasant memories' to share with you guys. Emmm really 'pleasant'

'Pleasant' Memory 1: Dead batteries

Yesssss I had a dead battery back then before I went to INTEC. Luckily it was a holiday, and there were no classes but I was going to study at the library since the finals were just days away. You know the remote buttons which are attached to your keys? The one you use to open the car from far? Uh-huh, I hit those and .................. *silence*. It hit those again and again and nothing happened. I thought it was the remote's batteries and I just opened the door using the keys. I tried to start the engines and ............... *silence*

I felt like breaking the car into two but I just know that won't happen haha. I ran off to call my friend and we went to buy some new batteries at the workshop. Again, I'm CLUELESS about cars, we bought the batteries and we dunno which hole to fit it in *haha* In the end, we had to call one of our seniors and he fixed it for me. Hehe, thank you Jamal! Here's a blog post for you :D

Like I said before, having your own car adds new wrinkles on your face, I must have gained a few new wrinkles and looked 10 years older than my age. Pheesssh, gotta be careful next time and RM160 has vanished from my bank account *HORRIBLY SAD*

'Pleasant' Memory 2: Flat tyres

Since I've got my hands on my car, I've been to everywhere~ My driving skills sucks and the only way to improve is to DRIVE EVERYWHERE and also thanks to Ijasayangs for all the tips teehee. I've been to Putrajaya, Sunway, Bukit Raja, TTDI Jaya, Subang Airport and gotta go more after this! Maybe KLIA eh? The farthest I've driven is Kedah, my home :) and to make things more awesome, a tragedy happened otw. A flat tyre, how nice. It happened somewhere in Perak, and the car was full of stuffs. It was really full and I had to pull out the stuffs from the trunk to get my hands on the spare tyres and the emergency triangle. I called PLUS hotline number and had to wait for 45 minutes until help arrived. They changed and pumped my spare tyre for FREE and walla, we were great to go. Spare tyres are smaller in size, and you could only use it for 80kmh and try imagine my driving at that kind of speeed until I reach home. *Haish*

Okay2, so this is what you do if you have a flat tyre

1. Signal

You need to stop at the emergency lane, so don't forget to switch on your left signal.

2. Check

Check your tyres, identify which one is flat

3. Emergency lights

After you have find out which tyre is problematic and you cannot go any further, turn on the emergency lights. It's the button with the red triangle

4. Emergency triangle

Now, parking at the emergency lanes is very dangerous because you have big lorries and trucks passing by your car. You can even feel your car shaking due to the motion. Usually, the emergency triangle is placed with your spare tyre, Get them out, and place it 20 feet from your car so that the upcoming vehicles could see it.

5. Call

Call the PUSLINE hotline number. The number is everywhere on the highway, you just need to call and tell them where you are. Here's the number 1800-88-0000 If you are not sure where you are right now, there's a small white board at each 100 metres *if I'm not mistaken* which tells you the kilometre you're at, like this one:

6. Wait

Just wait for the help to arrive, they'll settle everything for you :)

Caution!: There would be private tow trucks on patrol which would cost you hundreds if you agreed to tow your car. There's no need for that since the PLUSLINE is free of charge, it's included in your toll money

Making an educational blog is one of the requirements for EDU455 (Computer in Education) The purpose of making the blogs is to benefit the students all over the world with its contents which will help them in terms of education, motivation and inspiration. I had a terrible headache while thinking about the type of contents that I would like to focus on. Something that students from all over the world would find it useful. Hurmm, especially students. Hurrmmm. AHA! Literature! Then, I've decided to post materials that have to do with literature. So that's where Black Beauty comes in. Once I'm finished with Black Beauty, I would continue with other literary pieces such as 'Importance of Being Earnest' or 'Flowers for Algernon'. My previous contents are quite miserable since I left my Black Beauty back in home, but I hope to improve and enhance the posts. Well, since I'm a teacher-to-be anyway. (^^,)/

well, well, well. Oh yes, I'm very well.

Despite the fact that my face look like a Nigerian *no offense to the Nigerians*

I am living off the remaining of my holidays pretty well with shopping and sightseeing :d

This time, my cousin and my aunt are joining our holidays to dubai and bahrain. So, on the 10th of December 2010, we went to Dubai by MAS and my parents were waiting at the airport. It was roughly..... 5-6 hours of flying up and down *can't really remember much, I was asleep all the time. oh, except when it was meal time*

our residence was the Royal Plaza Hotel Apartment for two days and after some good rest we went out for a ride to the beach, and malls

We were just strolling here and there and camwhoring all over

My aunt bought lots, i mean LOTS of abayas hehe

hehe utk makteh la, kak aishah la, dye la, orang itu la haha sakan

ermmm, i think it was at the dubai mall where we watched the water show. the water at the pool located at the outdoor of the mall danced and moved according to the song and it was SUPERB. wait a sec, i have the video. uh-oh, and the pics too :D

this post will be continued after i return to malaysia since i'm not finished with my holidays yet. hehe.

After the camp, I was soooo exhausted that I slept like a log and hardly woke up even after being told *in sleep* to wake up

So, after a good night rest, I went to Sunway with my cousin's family to ease up a lil' bit.

I shopped, skated, ate and had a good time with bowling :)

It was my first time skating and I fell once! Pretty good for a beginner right?

Nevertheless, my cousins fell countless time, especially Anis

I really really had a good time with skating

I wanna skate again!!!

Friends of all kind

have you ever had only two hours of sleep after one whole day of marching, exercising and activities?

have you ever felt so worked up working in a team and each member's mistakes, we had to bear it together?

have you ever had 4 blisters on each of your legs and they are so hideous that other people close their eyes when they see it?

have you ever had to bear your sleepy eyes and stay awake during the night lectures after a whole day of sweating?

have you ever found such good friends like the ones I met in LIBK 45?

I have.

the 11D10N camp was truly a platform for people like me to seek for changes in our lives. here, we were taught that reality is harsh and being a crybaby won't help you get through this life.

the most important thing is about speaking up.

Nightmare Before Christmas original poem

It was late one fall in Halloweenland,

and the air had quite a chill.

Against the moon a skeleton sat,

alone upon a hill.

He was tall and thin with a bat bow tie;

Jack Skellington was his name.

He was tired and bored in Halloweenland

"I'm sick of the scaring, the terror, the fright.

I'm tired of being something that goes bump in the night.

I'm bored with leering my horrible glances,

And my feet hurt from dancing those skeleton dances.

I don't like graveyards, and I need something new.

There must be more to life than just yelling,

'Boo!'"

Then out from a grave, with a curl and a twist,

Came a whimpering, whining, spectral mist.

It was a little ghost dog, with a faint little bark,

And a jack-o'-lantern nose that glowed in the dark.

It was Jack's dog, Zero, the best friend he had,

But Jack hardly noticed, which made Zero sad.

All that night and through the next day,

Jack wandered and walked.

He was filled with dismay.

Then deep in the forest, just before night,

Jack came upon an amazing sight.

Not twenty feet from the spot where he stood

Were three massive doorways carved in wood.

He stood before them, completely in awe,

His gaze transfixed by one special door.

Entranced and excited, with a slight sense of worry,

Jack opened the door to a white, windy flurry.

Jack didn't know it, but he'd fallen down

In the middle of a place called Christmas Town!

Immersed in the light, Jack was no longer haunted.

He had finally found the feeling he wanted.

And so that his friends wouldn't think him a liar,

He took the present filled stockings that hung by the fire.

He took candy and toys that were stacked on the shelves

And a picture of Santa with all of his elves.

He took lights and ornaments and the star from the tree,

And from the Christmas Town sign, he took the big letter C.

He picked up everything that sparkled or glowed.

He even picked up a handful of snow.

He grabbed it all, and without being seen,

He took it all back to Halloween.

Back in Halloween a group of Jack's peers

Stared in amazement at his Christmas souvenires.

For this wondrous vision none were prepared.

Most were excited, though a few were quite scared!

For the next few days, while it lightninged and thundered,

Jack sat alone and obsessively wondered.

"Why is it they get to spread laughter and cheer

While we stalk the graveyards, spreading panic and fear?

Well, I could be Santa, and I could spread cheer!

Why does he get to do it year after year?"

Outraged by injustice, Jack thought and he thought.

Then he got an idea. "Yes. . .yes. . .why not!"

In Christmas Town, Santa was making some toys

When through the din he heard a soft noise.

He answered the door, and to his surprise,

He saw weird little creatures in strange disguise.

They were altogether ugly and rather petite.

As they opened their sacks, they yelled, "Trick or treat!"

Then a confused Santa was shoved into a sack

And taken to Halloween to see mastermind Jack.

In Halloween everyone gathered once more,

For they'd never seen a Santa before

And as they cautiously gazed at this strange old man,

Jack related to Santa his masterful plan:

"My dear Mr. Claus, I think it's a crime

That you've got to be Santa all of the time!

But now I will give presents, and I will spread cheer.

We're changing places I'm Santa this year.

It is I who will say Merry Christmas to you!

So you may lie in my coffin, creak doors, and yell, 'Boo!'

And please, Mr. Claus, don't think ill of my plan.

For I'll do the best Santa job that I can."

And though Jack and his friends thought they'd do a good job,

Their idea of Christmas was still quite macabre.

They were packed up and ready on Christmas Eve day

When Jack hitched his reindeer to his sleek coffin sleigh,

But on Christmas Eve as they were about to begin,

A Halloween fog slowly rolled in.

Jack said, "We can't leave; this fog's just too thick.

There will be no Christmas, and I can't be St. Nick."

Then a small glowing light pierced through the fog.

What could it be?. . .It was Zero, Jack's dog!

Jack said, "Zero, with your nose so bright,

Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

And to be so needed was Zero's great dream,

So he joyously flew to the head of the team.

And as the skeletal sleigh started its ghostly flight,

Jack cackled, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"

'Twas the nightmare before Christmas, and all though the house,

Not a creature was peaceful, not even a mouse.

The stockings all hung by the chimney with care,

When opened that morning would cause quite a scare!

The children, all nestled so snug in their beds,

Would have nightmares of monsters and skeleton heads.

The moon that hung over the new-fallen snow

Cast an eerie pall over the city below,

And Santa Claus's laughter now sounded like groans,

And the jingling bells like chattering bones.

And what to their wondering eyes should appear,

But a coffin sleigh with skeleton deer.

And a skeletal driver so ugly and sick

They knew in a moment, this can't be St. Nick!

From house to house, with a true sense of joy,

Jack happily issued each present and toy.

From rooftop to rooftop he jumped and he skipped,

Leaving presents that seemed to be straight from a crypt!

Unaware that the world was in panic and fear,

Jack merrily spread his own brand of cheer.

He visited the house of Susie and Dave;

They got a Gumby and Pokey from the grave.

Then on to the home of little Jane Neeman;

She got a baby doll possessed by a demon.

A monstrous train with tentacle tracks,

A ghoulish puppet wielding an ax,

A man eating plant disguised as a wreath,

And a vampire teddy bear with very sharp teeth.

There were screams of terror, but Jack didn't hear it,

He was much too involved with his own Christmas spirit!

Jack finally looked down from his dark, starry frights

And saw the commotion, the noise, and the light.

"Why, they're celebrating, it looks like such fun!

They're thanking me for the good job that I've done."

But what he thought were fireworks meant as goodwill

Were bullets and missiles intended to kill.

Then amidst the barrage of artillery fire,

Jack urged Zero to go higher and higher.

And away they all flew like the storm of a thistle,

Until they were hit by a well guided missile.

And as they fell on the cemetery, way out of sight,

Was heard, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good

night."

Jack pulled himself up on a large stone cross,

And from there he reviewed his incredible loss.

"I thought I could be Santa, I had such belief"

Jack was confused and filled with great grief.

Not knowing where to turn, he looked toward the sky,

Then he slumped on the grave and he started to cry.

And as Zero and Jack lay crumpled on the ground,

They suddenly heard a familiar sound.

"My dear Jack," said Santa, "I applaud your intent.

I know wreaking such havoc was not what you meant.

And so you are sad and feeling quite blue,

But taking over Christmas was the wrong thing to do.

I hope you realize Halloween's the right place for you.

There's a lot more, Jack, that I'd like to say,

But now I must hurry, for it's almost Christmas day."

Then he jumped in his sleigh, and with a wink of an eye,

He said, "Merry Christmas," and he bid them good bye.

Back home, Jack was sad, but then, like a dream,

Santa brought Christmas to the land of Halloween.

Okay2, I don't really have the mood for blogging

but I thought I should at least post something new

My followers are dying to read my blog XD

So, the theme for today's blog is Commander

What is a commander?

Answer: A commander is a commander

*Jawapan mintak penampar*

Okay, basically, a commander is a person who leads his/her company

In my case, it's the brass band

They do not only lead, but they're responsible in disciplining their members *ayat essay*

In other words, they have a lot of work and responsibilities.

And people were asking me why do I want to be one?

You're adding pressure to yourself

Aren't you afraid that your academic performance will decrease?

Commanders have no life

I hate the commanders because they're so kerek

Aimi, you're too feminine

These are what they said.

Truthfully, jujur dari hati, I am confused too. Why do I want to be a commander?

Free residence? Power? Fame?

and this is what I answered last night:

Soft skills

That's one of the advantage of being a commander

Comm A: yeke? presentation yang banyak2 kene buat 2?

Me: itu pon soft skills gak. But the audience is like more or less than 30 people?

What if I become a lecturer one day?

And I would have to give a mass lecture?

A hall full of 100-300 students?

Will I be able to do that ALONE?

Do I have the power, the strength to do that?

How about my confidence? I pretty sure every single thing I feel shows up on my face.

If I stand in front of them with a scared-looking face and a cracking voice,

do you really think they would listen to me?

Student: Eh2, lecturer ni dah la kecik, muka takut gle macam tikus nak kene baham ngan ular, suara kuar macam CD tersekat etc2.

Ingat senang ke?

The first time I gave my command to the BKs (Bakal Komander)

Alahaiiii. Dah la bagi command salahmmgoutlangsungxbetul

And the blood was gushing up to my face making me feel really hot.

It's a good thing that I don't have a fair skin.

Or you would see a face as red as the tomatoes.

Or even the chilis

The greatest obstacle is your voice projection

*not yours, mine of course*

and I spoke too fast sometimes.

I blame the nervous system for that.

Really. Pathetic.

I see that by being a commander, I would be able to build my confidence little by little

I don't want a drastic change

I only hope for a stable confidence and magnificent soft skills

So that my future students won't view me as small

They won't view me as a scaredy cat

Come on Aimi, you can do it

But somehow I think my interview last night macam hampeh je

All I know, these past few days meant a lot for me.

I was able to become closer with the members

A lot happened in two weeks

Umm.. Ohh, so okay,
a lot happened,
it's like A LOT
which made me forget to make a Raya post
and also uploading the Raya pics

Haishhh, the first day I arrived, I started doing GnC's assignment. I really didn't want to procastinate because I was using the autoplay thingy when I did the presentation. It took me DAYS to finish around 95% of it and something happened. What happened? Kita sambung jap lagi, masuk bab raya dulu. RAYA!!!!!! Which was not as exciting as before. Why? Duit Raya tahun ini amat menyedihkan. On the first day of Raya I wore my blue cotton kurung *I <3 cottons* and I superduperlike it with my new Zinni tudung :D likeLikeLIKE. We had our open house on the second day of Raya and I wore my abaya from Bahrain *I <3 abayas!* and the whole family were wearing abayas and robes from Bahrain :D likeLikeLIKE! Cantekkk tau :D

And then..... *mystery music starts*

IT HAPPENED

My laptop MATI lah.

the drive was damaged because of over-heating. And when the drive is rosak, say bubbye to all the assignments and korean dramas. Luckily I kind of suspected that my lappy was going to break down and I made a backup for my GnC *ONLY*. The bad news is some of my korean dramas BURN begitu sahaja :( x sempat tgk ponnnnn

My dad was really bising when my lappy broke down again

things to be highlighted:
1. MOTHERBOARD LAPPY 2 ADE PROB. Org kedai 2 yg kate. Motherboard x betul --> drive over-worked --> drive over-heated --> break down. So it was not like... my fault?
2. LAPTOP 2 PERNAH OVERHEATED SEBELUM NI. The lappy I used was actually my sister's and it over-heated when she was in Ireland. Giving me a second-hand laptop to a SUPER-FREAK-HEAVY-USER like me is a BAD IDEA. Really BAD IDEA.

Therefore, I OFFICIALLY HAVE NO LAPTOP RIGHT NOW. And i couldn't upload any Raya pics because of that. Boo! Double boo! Triple boo!

haluuuu there! I just arrived home around 9.30PM and now i'm indulging myself with the happiness of being home!

Things that I missed so much when I was away:
My keyboard! *Once I entered my room, without bothering to change my clothes, I turned on the keyboard and started to play Fur Elise and Winter Sonata. OMG I need to practice*
The superduperspeed of Streamyx! *Hate mawar and celcom broadband*
The fridge! *Full of yummy stuffs inside*
My mom's sambal udang for sahur *DROOL*
MyVi! My car!

and of course,

MY LOVELY MOM!!!

I hope the last week of Raya is full of yummy foods for sahur and berbuka. Aminnn~ XD

No, I killed my friend

I broke my friend into two

And the 2nd day of Ramadhan is the day my friend died

Hahaha. I don't know where to begin. Thanks to God, Part 1 TESL has the most relaxing schedule compared to other degree students. There are a few days which I only have an one-hour class =)

Don't be jealous, okay? But at the same time, I feel that I haven't had enough sleep. The assignments, presentations, and the latest, PERKAD, filled up all the unoccupied time. Be strong girl! Just a few more days and the competition will be over and next is Ramadhan. Yay! I'm still wondering when is the time where I can study???? I had the feeling that my English is deteriorating. It's getting worse. 24 hours, my room-mate kept playing Dota, Warcraft, and Age Empire. But she still has a good memory. My memory card sucks. After you put all the datas in, the files goes hidden. And I couldn't find the button 'show hidden files'. All the things that I've

learned have been stored in the file, and it is so hard to retrieve it. I am someone who needs to practice repetition, but currently I don't have the time to do that. But I do have the time for blogging, though. O Allah, please help your servant through all these obstacles and temptations. Let me have time to study! And perform well in my studies! I'm aiming for the Dean's List!!!

Okay... dh seminggu+ abes camping baru nak cite

Maklumlah... I kan busy =P

First of all, on the 23rd of July, the part 1, part 2 & part 3 brassbanders got to spend a hella-fun-weekend at Gunung Dato'! Sampai2 je ade org lain camping skalik. Boo!! langsung x best!

Banyak aktiviti ooohhh. Of course, bende wajib mesti lar kawad kan. Jungle tracking was OMG fun. Jumpe ulat gonggok BESARRR punya. Took lotsa pictas *henpon aku x de... commander amek simpan =(*. Mandi sungai!!! Yehooo! 2 kali tuh! Ktorg pon ade malam kebudayaan n explorace. yadda yadda yadda. Teringat tyme camping f4. Aww.. I miss the girls so much. Dah la sume girls en?? Best gle.. Masak sendiri, tangkap ayam sendiri, sembelih sendiri. huhu. Camping yg kat Gunung dato' ni commander ngan cikgu yg tolong masakkan. Thank God we didn't have to cook. If not, I'll be sitting at the side just watching you guys preparing the meals cause I have some issues with cooking! *Anak dara amende ni? XD* Like any other campings, ade la sesi2 torture sket. Eh, bukan torture! sesi nasihat jew. Tyme f4 dulu pon ade gak. Kene diri tgh2 hujan, muhasabah diri la kan. But this tyme ktorg kene angkat kaki, tangan... lenguh oh. esok bile nak turun bukit ke, tangga ke, terasa oh. terasa cam getah yang kene tarik bg tegang haha. Tp padan muke kt ktorg gak sape soh bwat salah. Ish3.

A Summary of Three Months

I am now stranded in Shah Alam, waiting for my registeration day which was supposed to take place on the previous Sunday. BOSAN GILE SEMINGGU STRANDED *hahahhaha caps lock* How did I get in this situation? Knape? Why?

Okay, let's go back in time.

After I finished my tests, I went home with my parents *of cos lah, sape xnk balik rmh lps test?*. I kind of regretted going back early, because SuJu's concert was that night =(

And they were spotted at Pavilion the next day ='(

Dah la ade Yesung!!! *Okay, tamatkan drama korea neyh*

And so, that was the start of my holiday, filled with summons like,

"Aimi, vacuum satu rumah!"

"Aimi, basoh sume baju!"

"Aimi, sidai baju kt ampaian!"

"Aimi, masak nasik!" *masak nasi je la*

And etc. etc.

When other people read this, they must have thought,

"Ish2. banyak keje aimi buat kat rumah ek"

But the main point is, I have to be TOLD to do all these works. I have no initiative to do it myself. teruk nye anak dara HAHA

But the most interesting part was, I got to attend piano classes. Aaah~ That was a bliss, yep it was.

*Okay~ music freak*

After 2 months and I week, my maestro said that I have the skill of 2nd Grade and I smiled

Tp bile balik umah je, "Alah Mr S 2 mengampu je kate org dh Grade 2. Grade 2 amendenye baca note pon merangkak-rangkak, budak cina yg dt hr rabu 2 lagi terer. Ni mmg kes mengampu neyh." HAHAHHAHAH

These kinds of things happen a lot in the business word. They "ambil hati" their customers so that they'll come back. Of coz I'll go back to him. He stole my heart kan??HAHHAHAHA

To sum things up, the M students went to ask for help. Since we are in contract with M, Medsi is not one of the requirements to further TESL under them. Alhamdulillah, we were given a second chance. Ana in Bahrain! Hi there! I am now updating my blog from Bahrain. Ahhh~~, it feels good to access the internet. Seriously, what would I do without you?

Hurm… my mom and I departed from Alor Setar to KLIA at 3.30PM, Thursday, and we had to wait for another 7+hours for our next flight at 23.59, to Dubai. *Seriously, why can’t they just write it as 00.00? It’s 12AM, people!* Our flight to Dubai took about 6+hours and it was really cramped! The person sitting in front of me lowered her seat too much which made it impossible for me to get out from my seat. And there’s an Arabic boy beside me who kept moving around, taking my space. Be it whether he is sleeping or awake. I kept waking up because he moved too much. Aish.

7 hours of waiting time.. Penat woo~

Around 3.00 AM *Dubai time*, we landed, and waited another 4+hours for our next flight with Gulf Air. It was my first time in Dubai *although it’s only the airport*, I took the chance to look into the shops there. Since Dubai is only our transit, we only had around 50 Dirham. I went into a shawl shop, and OMG. Pretty, pretty, pretty pashminas there! There are also a lot of beautiful cashmeres but they are 5 times more expensive than a pashmina *at least 200 Dirham*. In the end, I bought a pashmina for 40 Dirham. When I was checking in, a security officer asked me,

“Which airline are you?”

“Gulf Air, to Bahrain.”

“Where are you from?”

“Malaysia.”

“Malaysia? Ohh, you have a very nice country, I love Malaysia”

*Feeling proud* “Thank you!”

So peeps! Be proud that you are a Malaysian. The Arabians love our country HAHA

This is the International Airport of Dubai, everyone! Somehow it looks like a fish's body?

Around 7.30AM, we went on board, and of course, it was cramped *again*. The weird thing is, there are two people who had the same seat numbers as we do. Then the stewardess came to us and asked us to change our seats. Guess what??? We ended up sitting in the FIRST CLASS *woot woot*. It’s not only sitting in a first class, we even received first class’s service *we had a meal and tea! And plus, no more crampy place!*. What did you say? Proof? There are pictures, LOOK!

The journey took about 55 minutes and we landed safely at Bahrain’s Airport.

Welcome to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

As soon as I stepped out of the airport, it was HOT!!! And it was only around 9AM! Abah drove us home quickly, and we surrendered on bed *I didn’t have a sleep on the plane*. Around 7PM, we went to LuLu Supermarket to buy some groceries and keyboard hunting! When I was surveying the keyboard, a man was surveying the same model that I was interested in buying. He said to me, “This model is very good, I’m teaching music here, and this one is very suitable for beginners”

I was like, “Ohh” *tak tahu apa2 =P*

He bought that model. It was the last piece. ( >_< )/

But personally, I want to thank that man for buying that model first. Why? I’ll tell you later.

OMG they have a Portable Grand 530 here!!! But it's HUGE. It has 88 keys, the same as a Grand Piano, and it has fixed stands which make it impossible to bring it on flights. In the end, the salesman told us to go to the Ambassador's Store where there are more choices.

First of all, bib necklaces have been a craze among female out there

Why BIB?

Because the necklaces shaped like a baby's bib.

I noticed the existence of the necklace when I was watching Strong Heart, and I saw one of the Korea's actress wearing it and I was like, *OOOHH! What's that?!!!*

I fell in love at first sight HAHA

Of course it's about me, it's my blog right??

Okay, first of all, I believe every living thing in this world has their own special powers!

Yes, EVERY ONE OF THEM

Like Clark Kent who owns strong powers and a blue suit and he is Superman!

Or even like Harry Potter and his friends who can perform magic with their wands

I have it to0

Okay2, I don't need all those tight suits and witches' robes or even a lightning scar on my forehead to prove that I have special powers. I just have it as it is

I'll change the word 'super powers' to 'ability' because somehow it sounds too exaggerating

I am very sensitive to high or low pitches during my sleep or when I'm awake. I happened to found out about this ability of mine when I was in my 4th Former. I was in a band and also the section leader of clarinet. I was forced to being the leader because I was the one with the most experience in orchestra than the other clarinet members *although we had a senior a year older than me*. Since then I had to train my ears to listen to the sounds produced by my fellow colleagues and fix them until they can produce the same sound as mine. As a result, I am extra aware of the sounds around me.

There was once in my last year of school, I happened to hear a conversation between two of my friends who were about 15 feet away from me. And they were whispering. They were talking about me and I asked them 'What about me?', and they were surprised I could hear their conversation. It's kind of scary though. After that, other people were always careful not to mention my name or talk about me in their conversations because I could hear them. Sometimes I just pretend I don't.

In my previous second semester, there was one night I felt really sleepy and retired early. There were four people in my room including me, and Fatin and I were sleeping. Both of us placed our heads under our pillows because the lamp was too bright and Raja and Adela were still awake. I started having dreams and it was really peaceful. Then, I heard Adela said something about me and Fatin and I woke up. Adela was saying, "Due2 2 macam memberontak je" (something like this. She's referring to our heads under the pillows. Couldn't help it, the light was to0 bright. But I didn't bother myself to move my body and respond to her because it's too much trouble. Although most of the time I did respond to them. HAHA

I'm sure you'll get to hear more incidents from my dorm-mates back in school and those in UiTM like Adela and Raja. They must be thinking I'm a freak. HAHA

The good thing is, this ability is very useful when I'm in my band. When we were playing an orchestral piece, I could distinguish perfectly the sounds of the bass and the melody according to their instrument. *I'm sure a lot of my band members can do that to0*. During tuning, I'm able to trace the vibrations when my sound and the member's sound merge together and we were able to harmonize them. The problem is, I'm really bad at identifying the notes because I don't have the 'absolute pitch' gift *Click to find out*. Okay2, I can identify note C and G only because those are the easiest. I guess I need to train my ears really hard in order to have absolute pitch.

So that is my 'special power'.. Err... I mean 'ability'

I did say in my previous post that I'm going to Pacific again this weekend right?

Well guess what? I'm already back from my shopping! Weee~

Actually we were kinda late because I woke up REALLY late and we went there around 12pm and thank God the traffic was smooth *org nk gi smayang jumaat kan*

td kan, td kan, we went to Gulatis

It is every girl's dream to have dresses or baju kurungs made by luxurious fabrics from Gulatis as they are beautiful and high-class

and sitting in the shop made me feel like I want to wear baju kurung from Gulatis every day to class. But it's impossible.

The we came across an area which is quite secluded and there are comfy sofas in the middle of the room and they are surrounded by gorgeous fabrics.

"Eh eh... *astonished* Mesti org yg duduk kt sofa ni tunjuk jari je nk beli ape. Exclusive neyh! Tgk harga sket. Puyoo!!! rm 500 per meter????!!!!"

To make a baju kurung, you will need at least 4 and a half metres. that means the fabric alone costs around RM2000+. and it is a total waste. Seriously, 2000 rggt can be used for a lot of things! Then my sister-in law said, "kalo pakai baju ni, rasa mcm x selamat sbb org curi pon boley dpt rm2000."

Haha. couldn't agree more sis!

Conclusion : It's nice to have beautiful things but it is to0 much if you have it often at such prices.

After a lunch *at 3pm* with mama

I went for my 2hours-piano-lesson

When I entered the class

*Fuyok? Someone moving or what?It's in a total mess*

Miss assistant : Masok dulu ek? Blatih sendirik

Hey3! I've finished my first book in three weeks!!

Yay~ I'm moving into my second book now. Hehe~

After going through the some music notes in the 2nd book,

the miss assistant came up to me.

Then I tested on the organ.

Yup, fur elise. It's grade three alright. and I'm zero.

And you need to play it with both hands

And the position is uber hard

Today I went to Pacific with my mom =)

There's sale!!! OMG

The first place we went was the handbag area

20% + 10%, 50% + 10%, 60% + 10%!!!

Our heads went crazy as we browse through the area.

Mom chose a grey modern-looking handbag from Sembonia

while I fell in love with a vintage-looking handbag from Carlo Rino!

Daughter: Mom, this one is uber beautiful!

Mom: Yeah! *Looks really interested*

Daughter: Umm.. I want this one please?

Mom: Hurm? You have your own money right?

Daughter: Ugh... How bout this? You pay half, I'll pay half

Mom: .................................. Kay

Daughter: Yay! Thanks!

Then I bought a black DIESEL jeans *not me actually, my mom bought it for me*

and mom bought a pair of shoes *she has this problem where her feet hurts wearing high heels*

then we went through PELCO handbags and we saw a very VERY pretty vintage style handbag

Daughter: Mom! Buy this one! It's pretty!! I like it!

Mom: Yea it is! But... I've already bought one already, two is just to0 much

Daughter: Alaaaa... just buy it. That Indian over there has been looking at this handbag for quite a time. There's only this one! *In head: Buy it so that I can wear it when you don't!!*

Mom: .................................... Kay. Another one wouldn't hurt.

Then we went to MCD to have some spicy chicken Mcdeluxe and strawberry sundaes
